About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Our Story
It all began when the sisters, Ashley and Lexi, were just little girls. They've always been entrepreneurs—selling lemonade, baked goods, rubber band bracelets, offering babysitting services, and more—taking after their entrepreneur mom. But in the summer of 2021, a new business idea emerged. One day, the sisters asked each other, "What if we offered fitness and art classes to young students in our local homeschool community?" It was a great way to give back to their community while teaching subjects they were both passionate about! That very day, they planned out everything that was soon to become The Inspiring Academy: where students become inspirations.
Meet the Co-owners
This business was created by two sisters who work hard to create exceptional learning experiences for your students. Read on to learn about them.
Hi! I'm Ashley Gleghorn, the co-owner of the Inspiring Academy. I am a 17-year-old homeschooler, and I love to make websites, market, and do sports!
Since middle school, I've volunteered in different places, such as VBS, summer swim teams, church nurseries, and Boy Scouts, to help, teach, and work with kids; every single time, I love it. They are so sweet and overall they're just a ball of joy.
I've always wanted to be the one "volunteer" or "teacher" that kids look up to and remember being positively impacted by as they get older. I am inspired by those who left a positive impact on me as a younger kid. I truly believe the people who surround your child can and will impact their future, and it's so important that it's a positive and healthy impact.
Hello! My name is Alexis Gleghorn (but I go by Lexi) and I am the co-owner of the Inspiring Academy and the head fitness and arts & crafts instructor. I’m a 15-year-old homeschooler, and I love creating any and all kinds of art and staying fit.
I was introduced to art at a very young age. My mom would show us watercolor paintings and drawings of nature and we would then create our own. Ever since then, creating art has been an important aspect of my life.
I also like to create my own workout plans when I'm not swimming in the summer. It helps me stay motivated and healthy.
I’m always happy to teach those around me.
